Slacktide Wellness is the creation of Annie Otis, a certified mindfulness facilitator and yoga instructor who offers mindfulness education and practice to individuals and groups in corporate, educational, wellness and therapeutic settings. Annie came to the world of wellness after being diagnosed with a painful chronic nerve condition. In 2021, she began studying at UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center and found the practice of mindfulness brought ease, relief and joy to her life. She is a graduate of UCLA’s Intensive Practice Program (IPP), and the Hello Wellness Fundamentals of Facilitation training program. She is also a certified restorative yoga instructor. She has a special interest in using meditation and yoga to help people of all backgrounds and ages to deal with everyday life, stressful situations and challenges, illness, discomfort and chronic health conditions.
When she is not working, Annie enjoys spending time with her family and paddle boarding in the slack tide.
